Who it's for

Small senior dogs and cats up to 13 lbs who still want to come along but tire out partway, and dogs recovering from surgery who are cleared to be out but shouldn't walk the whole distance. Chihuahuas, Yorkies, Shih Tzus, toy Poodles, small terriers.

Not for bigger dogs. Over 13 lbs, this isn't the right carrier and we'd rather tell you now.

How it helps

The hardest part of a senior dog's walk is often the way back. A sling means you can let them sniff and wander as far as they're comfortable, then lift them in for the rest, so you're not turning around early or carrying a tired dog in your arms for six blocks.

Using it

  • Adjust the strap so the opening sits at your hip, not your stomach
  • Lower them in back legs first, and keep one hand under them until they settle
  • Keep a hand on your dog whenever you bend over
  • Never leave a pet unattended in the sling

Questions owners ask

What size do I need? Small up to 6.6 lbs, Large up to 13 lbs. If your dog is close to the limit, choose Large.

Can they breathe in there? The panel is mesh, so there's airflow and they can see out.

Is it washable? The maker lists mesh fabric, sponge and PVC. Spot clean it rather than putting it through a hot machine wash.

How long does delivery take? Usually about 8 days, and shipping is free.
