Rear-Support Dog Wheelchair for Small Dogs & Cats — XXS to S
When the back legs stop working, wheels can give them their walk back. A rear-support cart carries the hind end so your dog can push along with their front legs, sniff the yard, and be part of the day again instead of waiting to be carried.
Why it works
- Aluminum alloy frame that stays light enough for a small dog to pull
- Sandwich mesh support against the body instead of bare webbing
- Double-bearing quiet wheels so the noise doesn't spook a nervous dog
- Belly strap to keep them centered and secure while they move
- Three sizes (XXS, XS, S) with adjustment for a closer fit
- Works for cats too, not just small dogs
Who it's for
Small dogs and cats whose back legs no longer hold them up: degenerative myelopathy, IVDD, advanced hip disease, or paralysis. Their front legs must still be strong, because the front end does the walking.
Not right if the front legs are also weak, or if the weakness came on suddenly. Sudden loss of use needs a vet, not a cart.
How it helps
Most owners reach this point exhausted, holding up a sling on every trip outside. A cart takes that weight off both of you. Your dog gets to move on their own again, and you get to stop scheduling your day around lifting them.
Measuring and first use
- Measure floor to the top of the hips, chest to base of tail, and across the hips, then send us the numbers before ordering
- Start with a few minutes at a time on flat, quiet ground
- Use treats, keep sessions short, and expect a few days of getting used to it
- Check for rubbing at the straps after each session
- Take it off for resting, and don't leave your dog unattended in it
Questions owners ask
How do I know which size? Don't guess. Send us your measurements and we'll tell you which size fits, or tell you honestly if none of the three do.
Will my dog actually use it? Many take a few sessions to trust it. Dogs who still want to move usually take to it faster.
Is this a treatment? No. It's a mobility aid. Your vet should be guiding treatment of the underlying condition.
How long does delivery take? Usually about 8 days, and shipping is free.
